At the Inclusive Design for Health + Care group (ID-Care), we put the diversity of our communities at the heart of our design, aiming to create health and care experiences that are both person-centred and more inclusive.
Our core expertise is in human-computer interaction and interaction design. We collaborate with experts across a range of disciplines, including psychology, computer science, the arts, and medicine. The ID-Care group is particularly interested in women's health, where we seek to address overlooked issues through a feminist lens, promoting inclusivity and equity.
Through collaborative, engaged research, we aim to make a real difference – whether it’s improving patient experiences, supporting clinicians’ practice, or finding more meaningful ways to manage health in everyday life.
The ID-Care group is committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all collaborators. We recognise that privilege varies across different contexts – we're dedicated to promoting equitable practices to ensure inclusion. We wish to expand our team by welcoming students and researchers from diverse backgrounds, and strongly encourage expressions of interest from individuals belonging to underrepresented or minoritised communities.
